(Catching Up) R.D.C. Goes to the Oak Park Parade!

Happy Friday Everyone!

Today, R.D.C. went to the Oak Park Parade for Independence Day. The parade goes by Oak Park Park and there are people gathered on both sides of Church St. to see all of the happenings.

Rochi volunteered to help drive and chaperone for Esti's camp run by Morah Shelly Shapiro and Morah Lauer. We met them at the parade, along with the campers from Morah Gitty Jaffe's camp.

Here is Esti with her camp:

And Ahron found something to keep his interest:

All of the campers ended up sitting together with all of the chaperones, and it was a lot of fun for all of the kids:

There were several marching bands, and it was really fantastic to watch them all as they marched by and played their songs. You just don't get to see that every day:

Then there were some unicyclists (and we can't figure out how they get down from those tall unicycles?):

And some classic cars:

...and more marching bands:

and Miss Michigan was there waving to everybody:

And some bagpipe players:

And some horsemen:

the Young Israel of Oak Park had a little exhibit.
Here is the Rabbi, R. Cohen with Mr. Simon Kresch:

Gil Stebbins drove by with a bunch of people:

and lastly, here is a shot of RDC together with Batsheva Britvan:

In the afternoon, I found out that I would be going with Oma to Lakewood, NJ on Sunday morning to help her with her travels. So this post will be the last one until I return home.

Bassi and Rivky are driving to Lakewood with Dad, so we'll meet up at Asher and Henny's house next week.

That's about it for today!
Thanks for reading, and enjoy the photos!
